Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Quebec man with murder in connection with the homicide of a Clarence-Rockland man that occurred more than a year ago.
Arrest Made in 2025 Homicide
The victim, Robert Prévost, 63, was reported missing in March 2025 after being last seen at his Laurier Street home in early February. His body was discovered in the Ottawa River in May 2025, and police subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
On Thursday, Luc Décarie, 51, of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Quebec, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and indignity to a body. Décarie was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L'Orignal on Friday.
