Condolences are pouring in following the death of Dr. Marilyn Trenholme Counsell, a trailblazing New Brunswick doctor and politician, who passed away at the age of 92.
A Legacy of Service
Dr. Counsell was widely recognized for her pioneering work in medicine and public service. She served as a family physician and later entered politics, becoming the first woman to represent the riding of Miramichi in the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly. Her contributions to healthcare and literacy were celebrated across the province.
