President Donald Trump on Thursday briefly interrupted his response to a question from Real America's Voice correspondent Brian Glenn to take a swipe at Glenn's fiancée, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).
Trump's Remarks
While answering a filibuster-related question, Trump paused and pointed out Glenn to the room. 'You know, you act so good. I love this guy. He's a great guy,' he said. Then Trump added: 'Even though I don't love his girlfriend too much.'
The comment drew laughter from those present. 'I won't tell you who the girlfriend is,' Trump continued. 'But I like him, I've always liked him. It's great that he hasn't changed.' Trump then returned to answering the question.
Relationship Context
Greene and Glenn announced their engagement in December. While Glenn appears to remain in Trump's good graces, the president has recently turned on Greene, calling her 'deranged' after she broke with him on several issues, including his Iran war stance and her push to release all documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
