Calgary police are turning to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect linked to two separate sexual assaults that occurred in the city's southeast on April 20. The incidents took place in Fish Creek Park and the nearby community of Douglasdale, prompting an investigation by the Calgary Police Service (CPS).
Details of the Assaults
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 20, a woman jogging in Fish Creek Park near Mallard Point was sexually assaulted by a man riding an e-scooter. Police believe the suspect had been observing the victim near on-site bathrooms prior to the attack. Approximately 20 minutes earlier, the same individual is believed to have sexually assaulted another woman in a park in Douglasdale, after riding through the area on his e-scooter.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early 20s, approximately six feet tall, with a light skin tone and blonde hair. At the time of the incidents, he was wearing black pants, a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and a white backpack with colored spots. He was riding an e-scooter while playing music from a speaker.
Police Appeal
CPS is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents to come forward. Tips can be submitted to police by calling 403-266-1234.
