Homicide Investigation Leads to Murder Charge
Edmonton homicide detectives have formally charged a 20-year-old local man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in central Edmonton last month, according to police authorities.
The incident took place on October 8 at approximately 8:50 p.m. when downtown patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 107 Avenue and 109 Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an injured man outside a residential property and immediately initiated life-saving measures.

Victim Identified as 42-Year-Old Andrew Donald McCabe
On October 9, the Edmonton Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy that officially identified the victim as Andrew Donald McCabe, 42. The examination determined that McCabe died from a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was officially classified as a homicide.
