Suspect Apprehended After Month-Long Investigation
Montreal police have successfully arrested a 21-year-old man they believe is responsible for three separate stabbing incidents that occurred over the past month across Montreal and Repentigny. The arrest brings relief to communities concerned about the violent attacks.
Charges and Court Proceedings
Amine Keramcha was taken into custody on November 13, 2025 following a collaborative investigation between Montreal and Repentigny police forces. Authorities identified Keramcha through witness statements and collected evidence linking him to the crimes.
The suspect appeared in custody at the Joliette courthouse facing multiple serious charges. These include aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, armed robbery, assault, and breach of probation.
Details of the Alleged Attacks
According to police reports, Keramcha is accused of attacking a 22-year-old man twice during the early hours of October 18 near Sherbrooke St. E. and Langelier Blvd. The victim initially reported being punched, sustaining minor injuries. However, less than an hour later, the same victim was found with facial injuries from an alleged stabbing and required hospital treatment. He has since been released from medical care.
Police also connect Keramcha to a September 14 knife attack in a Repentigny park that left two people injured. The pattern of violence across multiple locations had raised concerns among law enforcement and residents alike.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence. Keramcha's next court appearance is scheduled for November 26, where more details about the cases are expected to emerge.
