Oshawa Variety Store Employees Face Drug Trafficking Charges in Police Raid

Employees of a variety store in Oshawa, Ontario, have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking and providing drugs in exchange for alcohol, according to Durham Regional Police. The investigation, which led to three arrests this month, targeted All In One Convenience located at 152 Park Road South, just south of King Street West.

Police Investigation Uncovers Alleged Criminal Activity

Durham Regional Police launched an investigation earlier this month after receiving information that employees at the store were involved in trafficking drugs and exchanging them for alcohol. With assistance from the Drug Enforcement Unit, investigators executed search warrants at the business and a residence in Toronto on Wednesday.

"Investigators received information that employees at the store were trafficking drugs and providing drugs in exchange for alcohol," police stated in their official release.

  • Illegal cigarettes
  • Stolen clothing
  • Large amounts of cash

Ongoing Legal Proceedings and Community Impact

All three individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing. The case highlights concerns about drug trafficking operations operating under the guise of legitimate businesses in residential areas.

Police are urging anyone with additional information about this incident to contact Durham Regional Police at 1-888-579-1520, extension 1705, or to provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the full scope of the alleged criminal network and whether additional individuals may be involved. The substantial seizure of stolen alcohol and other goods suggests the operation extended beyond simple drug trafficking into broader criminal enterprise.
