Alberta RCMP have arrested and charged a 44-year-old Parkland County man with a slew of offences following a significant property seizure west of Edmonton. The operation, which involved multiple police units, uncovered a cache of unregistered firearms, methamphetamine, and suspected stolen vehicles.
Major Multi-Unit Police Operation
On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the RCMP's Community Response Team spearheaded a targeted investigation into stolen property. They were joined by officers from the Parkland County Detachment, the Crime Reduction Team, and RCMP Air Services. The coordinated effort focused on a residence near Range Road 30 in Parkland County.
After obtaining and executing a search warrant, police made a substantial discovery. The seized items included:
- Nine non-registered firearms
- One loaded non-restricted firearm
- Two travel trailers
- Three flat-deck trailers
- A Nissan Maxima car
- A Yamaha motorcycle
- Approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine
Suspect Charged with 21 Offences
Officers arrested a man at the scene. A woman was also taken into custody on separate outstanding warrants. The male suspect has been identified as Justin Anger, 44, a resident of Parkland County.
Anger now faces a total of 21 criminal charges. The most serious among them are ten separate counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm. The full list of charges includes:
- 10 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- 5 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- 2 counts of tampering with a vehicle identification number (VIN)
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded firearm
Court Appearance Scheduled
Following his arrest, Justin Anger was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance to answer to these charges on Tuesday, January 14, 2026, in St. Albert.
