Police Investigation and Suspect Descriptions

Windsor police have launched a thorough investigation through their major crimes unit, confirming that this was a targeted attack. The suspects fled the scene in a 1973 red Ford Mustang, which was later found abandoned in the 100 block of Tecumseh Road East. The vehicle had been reported stolen prior to the incident.

Authorities have provided detailed descriptions of the suspects in hopes of aiding their capture:

  • The first suspect is a white male, approximately six-foot, two-inches tall, wearing a red sweater, black pants, a black cross-body bag, and a face mask. He was armed with a shotgun.
  • The second suspect is a white male, approximately five-foot, ten-inches tall, wearing a black ski mask and armed with a black handgun.
  • The third suspect is a white male, believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, wearing a black ski mask. He is suspected to have been the driver of the getaway vehicle.

Following the incident, police recovered a shotgun and a quantity of cash near the abandoned vehicle. The stolen cellphones were tracked and seized at a business in the 2800 block of Dougall Avenue, providing potential leads in the investigation.
