Two individuals were taken into custody on Saturday afternoon following a dramatic police pursuit that ended with a stolen vehicle overturned on its side in southeast Calgary. The incident occurred at the intersection of 52nd Street and Prestwick Avenue S.E., where authorities responded to reports of dangerous driving just after noon.
Police Employ Vehicle Tactics to Stop Fleeing Suspects
According to Calgary Police Service Detective Gord Fraser, officers were forced to use vehicle-based tactics to halt the fleeing suspects. "Officers had to react using vehicle-based tactics," stated Det. Fraser, confirming that at least one police vehicle was deployed during the operation.
