Toronto Man Charged with Human Trafficking; Assault Suspect Sought

In a disturbing case of alleged exploitation, a Toronto man has been arrested and charged with human trafficking after police accused him of using online advertisements to control a woman for sexual services. Authorities are now urging any other potential victims to come forward as they continue their investigation into this serious crime.

Details of the Human Trafficking Allegations

According to the Toronto Police Service, the accused, identified as 27-year-old Isaiah Cassim, is alleged to have created advertising that included sexualized pictures and promoted sexual services by a female victim, whose age has not been disclosed. The investigation, led by the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, revealed that Cassim reportedly provided the woman with cocaine as part of what police describe as ongoing exploitation.

Police further claim that Cassim transported the victim to meet clients, and any money she earned was surrendered to him, with a large portion kept by the accused. This pattern of control and financial benefit is central to the trafficking charges.

The following day, the suspect is accused of striking the victim and throwing them to the ground, along with making threats.

On Sunday, in the area of Lumsden and Woodbine Avenues, the man allegedly made further threats while in communication with the victim.
