Toronto Police arrest woman in Danforth assault, seek suspects

Toronto Police have charged a woman in connection with a violent assault on The Danforth earlier this month, one of several incidents officers are investigating across the city.

Woman Charged After Danforth Avenue Assault

A 50-year-old Toronto woman is now facing serious charges following an alleged assault that occurred on the evening of Tuesday, January 6, 2026. According to police, officers responded to a radio call at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the area of Greenwood and Danforth Avenues.

Police received reports that a female and two male suspects approached a victim on the street and physically assaulted him. Investigators state the female suspect was armed with an improvised blunt weapon, which she used to strike the victim. The victim managed to escape and a bystander contacted authorities.

Upon arrival, officers located and arrested two male suspects. However, the female suspect fled the scene before she could be apprehended. The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Following an investigation, police identified the female suspect and took her into custody on Friday, January 9. Zuleika Fedrick, 50, of Toronto, has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

The two men arrested at the scene, Peter Blake, 35, of no fixed address, and Michael Ayue Beny, 44, of Toronto, were each charged earlier with assault causing bodily harm.

Police Seek Suspect in December Thefts

In a separate case, Toronto Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with two thefts that occurred in December 2025. Investigators allege that on December 12, the suspect was at a victim's residence in the Broadview and Danforth Avenues area. After he left, the victim reported numerous items of clothing were missing.

Police further allege that on December 20, the same suspect was at a second victim's home in the Lower Sherbourne Street and The Esplanade area. Upon his departure, the victim discovered that clothing, electronics, and a bank card had been stolen.

Riley Rose, 33, of Toronto, is wanted for two counts of theft over $5,000. He is described as 5-foot-4 with a thin build, clean-cut, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police have released an image of the suspect and ask anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Weekend Violence and Other Arrests

The police activity comes amid other incidents reported over the weekend. A man in his 60s was stabbed in the Playter Estates neighbourhood on Saturday afternoon. The attack was reported shortly after 4 p.m. near Danforth and Broadview Avenues.

Officers found the victim with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Police describe the suspect as a Black male, approximately 5-foot-11, 30 to 35 years old, and last seen wearing a blue-hooded sweater. The investigation is ongoing.

In another concluded investigation, a Mississauga man has been arrested months after a delivery van was stolen in the city's Greektown area. Police said the theft occurred on October 4, 2025, at around 9 a.m. in the Danforth and Jones Avenues area while the driver was making a delivery.

The suspect allegedly stole the white cargo van and later fled from police in a reckless manner. The vehicle was later found abandoned. He faces multiple charges including motor vehicle theft, dangerous operation, and failing to comply with two existing release orders.
