Two 13-Year-Olds Arrested in Edmonton Bus Stop Attack

Edmonton police have arrested and charged two 13-year-old boys in connection with the assault of a 66-year-old woman at a bus stop in northeast Edmonton last month. The arrests came after members of the public provided tips that helped investigators identify the suspects.

Details of the Incident

On April 19, at approximately 9 a.m., police responded to an assault at a bus shelter near McConachie Boulevard and 64 Street. According to authorities, two teenagers approached the senior woman, one of them carrying a fire extinguisher. The teen discharged the extinguisher, covering the victim and the bus shelter with powder. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot heading west.

Emergency crews treated the woman at the scene, and she was released without needing to be hospitalized.
