Fire on Windsor's West Side Displaces 11

A fire on Sunday evening damaged three homes and displaced 11 people on Windsor's west side. The blaze began on the exterior of a two-storey residence on the 300 block of Bridge Avenue, near University Avenue West, before spreading to two neighboring homes.

Emergency Response

Windsor Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. Smoke was visible upon their arrival. Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services and Windsor police also provided support.

No Injuries Reported

Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Smith stated in a social media post just after 6 p.m. that the fire originated on the exterior of the home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. A fire investigator was dispatched to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
