OPP seek suspects after rural Papineau-Cameron break-in

Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify two masked suspects involved in a break-in at a rural property in Papineau-Cameron Township. The incident occurred on June 20, 2026, and was captured on video surveillance, police said in a release.

Suspects described as masked

According to the OPP, the suspects were wearing masks during the break-in. Investigators have released an image from the surveillance footage showing one of the individuals, hoping someone may recognize them. The suspects are believed to have been involved in the unlawful entry into a property in the municipality, which is located in Nipissing District.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the break-in to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

The OPP did not disclose what items, if any, were stolen from the property. The investigation is ongoing. Authorities emphasize the importance of community tips in solving rural crimes, where surveillance footage can be a key tool.
