Ottawa police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday morning after a man with serious knife wounds jumped onto an OC Transpo bus on Rideau Street.
Incident Details
Ottawa Paramedic Service reported that they were called just before 11 a.m. on June 3, 2026, after a man boarded a bus near the intersection of Rideau and Friel streets. The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered multiple knife wounds.
Paramedics provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the man to a local hospital. He is listed in serious but stable condition, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Ottawa police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. In a social media post, they stated that there will be an increased police presence in the area as they work to gather evidence and identify suspects.
