Ottawa Paramedic Service reported that they were called just before 11 a.m. on June 3, 2026, after a man boarded a bus near the intersection of Rideau and Friel streets. The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered multiple knife wounds.

Paramedics provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the man to a local hospital. He is listed in serious but stable condition, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
