Windsor police have arrested a break-in offender for allegedly breaching his release conditions. The Windsor Police Service (WPS) confirmed the arrest on Thursday, stating that the individual was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was originally charged in connection with a break-in incident earlier this year. He was released on conditions pending his court appearance, but police allege he violated those conditions, leading to his re-arrest.
“Our officers remain vigilant in monitoring offenders who are subject to release conditions,” said WPS spokesperson Sgt. Steve Betteridge. “Any breach will be dealt with swiftly to ensure public safety.”
The arrest comes as part of ongoing efforts by Windsor police to crack down on repeat offenders and enforce court-ordered conditions. The suspect is expected to appear in court later today to face the breach charges.
