The young girl was being pulled on a sled by an adult when the adult fell on top of her, as confirmed by a statement from the Sécurité Publique MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais. The child was initially transported to a hospital in Wakefield for emergency care before being transferred to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa. Despite these efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
