TransLink officials say Sinclair's involvement is a way to celebrate local soccer heritage and engage fans traveling to and from matches. Sinclair, a native of Burnaby, B.C., is widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time, having scored 190 goals in international play. The World Cup is set to take place across North America, with Vancouver hosting several matches.
