B.C. soccer legend Christine Sinclair is lending her voice to TransLink during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Canadian soccer star will record special transit announcements that will be played on buses, SkyTrain, and SeaBus throughout the tournament. TransLink officials say Sinclair's involvement is a way to celebrate local soccer heritage and engage fans traveling to and from matches. Sinclair, a native of Burnaby, B.C., is widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time, having scored 190 goals in international play. The World Cup is set to take place across North America, with Vancouver hosting several matches.
