In a significant move for industrial technology, Canadian AI specialist BlueMarvel AI has entered into a strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to advance artificial intelligence implementation across Middle Eastern energy operations.
Strategic Partnership Details
The memorandum of understanding was formally signed on November 12, 2025, during the ADIPEC 2025 energy conference in Abu Dhabi. The agreement brings together Adel Al Jaberi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas, and Keri Lee, Managing Director of BlueMarvel AI, representing the Calgary-based industrial technology company.
The collaboration will initially focus on implementing a proof-of-concept project for AI-driven alarm management systems. This partnership combines ADNOC's extensive operational expertise in the energy sector with BlueMarvel's specialized AI software capabilities.
Enhanced Operational Performance
The primary objective of this collaboration is to significantly improve reliability, efficiency, and safety standards across ADNOC's extensive network of facilities. BlueMarvel's OperationsMetrics™ application, which has already demonstrated measurable improvements in alarm management with another major Middle Eastern operator, will form the foundation of this initiative.
Keri Lee emphasized the partnership's significance, stating: "This partnership reflects our shared commitment to using advanced technology to make critical operations run safer, smarter, and more efficiently. We're proud to work alongside ADNOC, one of the world's most innovative energy leaders, to demonstrate what AI can deliver at scale."
Canadian Innovation on Global Stage
The agreement represents a major milestone for Canadian technological innovation in the international energy sector. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Joseph Schow, Minister of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration, highlighting the government's support for Canadian technology exports.
The Honourable Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation, commented: "BlueMarvel's collaboration with ADNOC is a powerful example of Alberta innovation making an impact on the global stage. It shows how our province's tech companies are applying AI to solve complex industrial challenges and put Alberta on the world stage."
The Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, added: "This partnership highlights Canada's leadership in the responsible use of artificial intelligence. BlueMarvel's work shows how trusted, human-centred AI can make global industries safer, smarter, and more resilient."
Future AI Developments
Beyond the initial alarm management focus, BlueMarvel is developing an AI Assistant built on the same advanced analytics engine as their OperationsMetrics™ platform. This upcoming technology will enable operational teams to accelerate their decision-making processes, moving more rapidly from data insights to actionable improvements.
The MOU also underscores the growing technological collaboration between Canada and the United Arab Emirates, particularly in advancing sustainable, technology-driven industrial growth initiatives. This partnership positions Canadian AI expertise at the forefront of transforming traditional energy operations through cutting-edge artificial intelligence applications.
