Bunker Hill Mining Corp. has announced additional assay results from its ongoing underground exploration drill program at the Bunker Hill Mine in Idaho. The program targets high-grade silver-lead veins near recently constructed mine infrastructure, with potential to expand mineral resources and reserves.
Discovery of New High-Grade Veins
Drillhole BHE26-02 intersected continuous mineralization over 28.6 feet grading 3.02 oz/ton silver, 7.44% lead, and 0.85% zinc, starting at 453 feet downhole. This includes a 17.1-foot interval grading 4.19 oz/ton silver, 10.67% lead, and 0.73% zinc. Within this zone, two distinct high-grade galena-siderite veins were cut: 2.1 feet at 7.95 oz/ton silver, 22.18% lead, and 1.05% zinc, and 4.3 feet at 8.84 oz/ton silver, 23.20% lead, and 0.73% zinc.
Expansion Potential
The mineralization remains open in all directions and occurs within 40 feet of existing mine development, highlighting significant near-mine expansion potential in the underexplored upper mine area. This intercept extends known mineralization approximately 340 feet up-dip from previously reported intercepts in BHE26-01. Initial target interpretation suggested a single vein, but drilling has now identified broader mineralized intervals with an approximate thickness of 10–15 feet.
CEO Commentary
Sam Ash, CEO of Bunker Hill Mining, stated: "These second set of results indicate the emergence of a new high-grade silver-lead zone in an area of the upper mine that has seen limited historical exploration. What is particularly encouraging is the potential scale indicated by these early holes, with mineralization open in all directions and extending well beyond historic interpretations."
Drill Program Update
The program remains on schedule, with approximately 1,250 feet drilled to date as part of a planned 25,000-foot campaign. The ongoing drill hole, BHE26-03, has intersected additional mineralization in projections of the new veins and is currently being logged and sampled.
Significant Assay Intervals
Key assay results from BHE26-02 include: 453.0–481.6 feet: 3.02 oz/ton Ag, 7.44% Pb, 0.85% Zn (173.5 g/t AgEq); including 464.5–481.6 feet: 4.19 oz/ton Ag, 10.67% Pb, 0.73% Zn (238.05 g/t AgEq); which includes 471.0–473.1 feet: 7.95 oz/ton Ag, 22.18% Pb, 1.05% Zn (462.97 g/t AgEq); and 477.3–481.6 feet: 8.84 oz/ton Ag, 23.20% Pb, 0.73% Zn (497.59 g/t AgEq).
