VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Li-FT Power Ltd. (TSXV: LIFT) (OTCQX: LIFFF) (Frankfurt: WS0) has announced encouraging results from its 2026 winter drilling program at the Yellowknife Lithium Project (YLP), located near Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The program comprised 17 drill holes totaling 4,778 meters, with results for eight holes (2,110 meters) reported in this release.
Key Highlights
- YLP-0312: 26 meters at 1.29% Li2O (BIG East), including 17 meters at 1.65% Li2O
- YLP-0313: 10 meters at 1.12% Li2O (BIG East) and 10 meters at 0.68% Li2O, including 6 meters at 1.03% Li2O
- YLP-0324: 11 meters at 1.04% Li2O (BIG East)
All 17 holes were drilled in the BIG area of the YLP, with 16 holes targeting the BIG East pegmatite complex and one hole on its fault offset northern extension, BIG North. This marks the first drill campaign in the BIG area since the mineral resource estimate was published in October 2024.
Geological Setting
The BIG East pegmatite complex is a north-northeast trending corridor of parallel-trending dykes, exposed for at least 1.8 km of strike length, ranging from 10 to 100 meters wide, dipping approximately 55 to 75 degrees west. Spodumene-bearing pegmatite occurs as a single dyke 20 to 35 meters wide or as two to four dykes with similar cumulative thickness within corridors up to 65 meters wide.
The 2026 winter program extended along 1,000 meters of strike length of the BIG East complex, reaching depths of 50 to 300 meters vertically below surface.
Drilling Details
Hole YLP-0312 tested the northern part of BIG East approximately 150 meters below surface and 100 meters down-dip of previously released hole YLP-0058 (1.10% Li2O over 28 meters). It intersected a 26-meter-wide pegmatite dyke returning a wall-to-wall composite of 1.29% Li2O over 26 meters, including 17 meters averaging 1.65% Li2O.
Hole YLP-0308 was drilled 100 meters downdip of YLP-0312 to test mineralization at 250 meters below surface, intersecting four pegmatite dykes totaling 45 meters within a drilled width of 57 meters, with negligible spodumene.
Hole YLP-0313, collared 100 meters north of YLP-0312, tested the BIG East complex at 150 to 200 meters below surface and 100 meters downdip of YLP-0251 (1.06% Li2O over 28 meters). It intersected 12- and 10-meter-wide dykes spaced 22 meters apart, with the upper dyke returning 1.12% Li2O over 10 meters and the lower dyke 0.68% Li2O over 10 meters, including 6 meters of 1.03% Li2O. Mineralization on this section remains open at depth.
The company continues to evaluate results and plan further drilling to expand the resource at the Yellowknife Lithium Project.
