Details of the crash
Police responded to a single-vehicle ATV crash on a trail in Mapledale at approximately 3:00 p.m. ADT on June 24. The male operator was pronounced dead at the scene. No other individuals were involved in the crash.
The victim has been identified as a 56-year-old man from the local area. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Investigation ongoing
The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash. An ATV collision reconstructionist is assisting with the inquiry. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact the Keswick Ridge RCMP detachment.
