Fatal crash on Highway 335
A 38-year-old man from the RM of Connaught is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 335 near Armley, Sask. on Thursday morning. RCMP responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled into a ditch.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
RCMP investigation ongoing
Police say speed and weather conditions may have been factors in the crash. The highway was closed for several hours for investigation but has since reopened. An autopsy has been ordered.
"Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased," said RCMP Cpl. Jason Krawetz in a statement. "We are working to determine the exact cause of this tragic incident."
