Ottawa paramedics report that a man sustained serious injuries on Sunday after the scooter he was operating collided with an SUV at the intersection of McArthur and Lafontaine avenues in the Vanier district.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:46 p.m. on April 26. The scooter driver, believed to be in his 40s or 50s, was transported to a trauma center. Fortunately, his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
