Questrade Unveils New Dawn of Investing with Pro Platform & Tools
Questrade Reveals New Pro Trading Platform & Products

Canadian investors witnessed a significant evolution in online trading as Questrade, the country's top-rated online brokerage, unveiled a comprehensive suite of new products and platform capabilities. The announcement was made during a live-streamed event on November 19, 2025, titled The Dawn of Investing.

A New Era for Canadian Investors and Traders

Edward Kholodenko, Founder and CEO of Questrade Financial Group, stated that the event signals the company's commitment to accelerating the delivery of new tools to Canadians. He emphasized that this marks a new chapter in the organization's mission to empower Canadians to achieve greater financial success and security by providing advanced capabilities and information at a pace that matches modern financial markets.

Breakdown of New Products and Features

The immersive presentation detailed a robust product roadmap. Below is a summary of the key offerings that are set to redefine the investing experience in Canada.

Questrade Pro: This is a brand new, best-in-class trading platform built from the ground up to enhance trader efficiency. It is browser-based but packed with powerful features, including modern charting with one-second candles, advanced visualization, new options capabilities, and AI-driven analysis tools. Access to the Questrade Pro beta will begin rolling out to waitlist registrants within two weeks of the November 19th announcement.

Cash-Secured Puts (CSPs): In a first for the Canadian market, Questrade is enabling the trading of cash-secured puts not only in cash and margin accounts but also in eligible registered accounts, excluding RESPs. This strategy allows investors to generate extra income on stocks they are willing to buy, now within tax-advantaged accounts. This feature is live now.

Custom Indexing: Slated for release in early 2026, this powerful tool will grant investors unprecedented control, allowing them to build their own personalized, ETF-like portfolio. Investors can tailor their holdings to track a specific index or sector, such as focusing on top energy companies instead of big tech, or even mimic an existing S&P 500 ETF to potentially avoid management fees. This feature will integrate with tools like recurring buys and dividend reinvestment (DRIP).

Portfolio Rebalancing Tool: Also coming in 2026, this in-platform tool will work seamlessly with custom indexing and other automated features. Investors will be able to set a target asset allocation and, with a single order, automatically rebalance their entire portfolio to align with those goals.

Expanding the Investment Horizon

Beyond these core offerings, the Dawn of Investing event also previewed future access to investments in Quest Metals and private markets. This collective rollout represents one of the most significant expansions of capabilities for a Canadian online brokerage, aiming to provide a more sophisticated and flexible toolkit for both active traders and long-term investors.
