Kia Canada Prices 2027 PV5 Cargo EV at $46,995

Kia Canada has announced pricing for its first dedicated commercial cargo vehicle, the 2027 PV5, set to arrive in Canadian dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2026. The battery-electric van starts at $46,995 MSRP and qualifies for up to $5,000 under the federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP), making it an accessible option for business fleets.

Pricing and Incentives

The PV5 is priced to ensure all trims meet EVAP eligibility, offering a $5,000 point-of-sale incentive. This positions the vehicle as a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to electrify their fleets and reduce operating expenses.

“Kia continues to demonstrate their commitment to being a mobility solutions provider by extending our product offering to support the needs of business customers too,” said David Sherrard, Director of Strategic Planning at Kia Canada. “The PV5 is yet another affordable option the company is introducing in 2026, that expands EV ownership to businesses where they can help reduce fleet running costs.”

Battery and Range

Powered by a 71.2 kWh battery pack, the PV5 features a NACS charging port, enabling fast charging from 10% to 80% in as little as 30 minutes. Kia estimates a combined range of 360 kilometres, supported by a standard heat pump to maintain efficiency in colder climates.

Cargo and Utility Features

The PV5 is a two-passenger vehicle with an estimated cargo volume of 5,016 litres, a payload capacity of 1,631 pounds, and a wheelbase of 2,995 millimetres. The cargo area can be customized for various storage and transportation needs, with a wide-opening tailgate (95° to 180°) and a low step-in height of 419 millimetres for easy loading.

Safety and Technology

Standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems include Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Front and rear parking sensors also come standard. Inside, the PV5 features a 7-inch digital cluster, a new 12.9-inch infotainment display, smart key with push-button start, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The PV5 represents Kia’s entry into the commercial EV segment under its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy, offering a dedicated electric solution for business customers.
