Brunswick Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: BRW, OTCQB: BRWXF; FRANKFURT:1XQ) has officially filed a maiden mineral resource estimate technical report for its Mirage Project, located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec, Canada. The report, prepared in compliance with National Instrument 43-101 standards by PLR Resource Inc. and Synectiq Inc., was submitted to SEDAR with an effective date of January 7, 2026.
Key Highlights of the Mirage Project Resource Estimate
The technical report outlines a substantial inferred resource at the Mirage Project, highlighting its potential as a major lithium asset. According to the findings, the project boasts an inferred resource of 52.2 million tonnes grading 1.08% Li2O and 131 parts per million Ta2O5, using a cut-off grade of 0.5% Li2O equivalent. This equates to over 550,000 tonnes of contained lithia, positioning Mirage among the largest undeveloped hard rock lithium resources in the Americas.
In addition to the maiden resource, the report identifies an exploration target ranging from 40 to 50 million tonnes, with grades between 0.80% and 1.10% Li2O and 120 to 145 ppm Ta2O5. This target suggests significant near-term growth potential, although it remains conceptual due to insufficient exploration to define it as a mineral resource at this stage.
Project Scope and Technical Details
The resource and exploration target are confined to a core area measuring approximately 1.5 by 3.0 kilometers, with lithium mineralization observed up to 3.5 kilometers from the main resource area. Over 70% of the mineral resource estimate is contained within five dykes located above a vertical depth of 150 meters from the surface, all of which remain open in multiple directions.
Metallurgical testwork indicates the potential for a dense media separation (DMS) processing flowsheet, which could produce a high-quality concentrate. Notably, this maiden resource and exploration target were estimated after only 23,626 meters of drilling and 62 channel samples, a relatively modest amount compared to similar projects in the industry.
Qualified Persons and Methodology
The independent qualified persons for the mineral resource estimate are Pierre Luc Richard, P.Geo., of PLR Resources Inc., with contributions from Patrick Frenette, P.Eng., of Synectiq Inc. for cut-off grade estimation and open pit optimization. The estimate follows CIM definitions and guidelines, using metric units and an Ordinary Kriging interpolation method for grade modeling.
It is important to note that these mineral resources are not mineral reserves, as no economic viability has been demonstrated. The inferred resources are uncertain in nature, but it is reasonably expected that continued drilling could upgrade a majority to the indicated category.
CEO Commentary and Future Outlook
Mr. Killian Charles, President and CEO of Brunswick Exploration, commented on the achievement, stating, "Brunswick Exploration remains one of the most compelling companies in the lithium space through the unique combination of advanced exploration in Quebec at both Mirage and Anatacau alongside an exciting global grassroot exploration program. I wish to thank the team and our consultants for this momentous achievement."
