Coppernico Metals Completes Comprehensive Geophysical Surveys at Sombrero Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Coppernico Metals Inc. (TSX: COPR, OTCQB: CPPMF, FSE: 9I3) has announced the successful completion of extensive gravity, magnetic, and high-resolution photogrammetry surveys at its Sombrero Project in Peru. The newly acquired datasets provide significantly enhanced subsurface geological interpretation, refining the three-dimensional architecture and structural controls of multiple large-scale skarn and porphyry targets.

Enhanced Targeting for Major Drilling Program

The company is now integrating these geophysical results into a multi-target drill program planned for 2026 through 2027. The surveys covered the area between Antapampa and Tipicancha, delivering high-resolution data that increases confidence in geological interpretations beneath surface cover.

Ivan Bebek, Chair and CEO of Coppernico Metals, stated: "The new gravity and magnetic datasets represent a major advancement in our understanding of the geology between Antapampa and Tipicancha, and have highlighted several large-scale targets that remain untested."

Bebek continued: "With this technical foundation in place, Coppernico is now strongly positioned to launch a comprehensive, multi-target drill program that could deliver several opportunities for a transformational discovery."

Key Survey Findings and Target Refinement

The geophysical surveys have significantly improved definition of multiple large-scale skarn and porphyry systems, with specific highlights including:

  • Fierrazo Target: A magnetite-rich skarn body extending approximately 700 metres beneath cover, with only about 200 metres of strike length historically drilled
  • Nioc Target: A skarn-porphyry system measuring more than 1.5 kilometres long with coincident magnetic, gravity and chargeability anomalies that remains completely untested by drilling
  • Tipicancha Target: A lithocap environment supported by well-defined magnetic low data and strong structural controls, featuring a large alteration footprint of at least 1.5 kilometres signaling significant porphyry potential

Strategic Positioning for Discovery Campaign

The enhanced datasets allow Coppernico to filter and focus drill testing within existing systems, positioning the company to concentrate its next phase of drilling on the most prospective portions of multiple major skarn-porphyry areas. This targeting refinement comes as Coppernico enters 2026 with technical momentum, advancing permits, and strong community alignment to support a discovery-focused drill campaign.

Bebek emphasized the broader strategic context: "Our long-term vision is to extend the highly endowed Andahuaylas–Yauri belt which hosts multiple significant operating mines approximately 200 kilometres to the east, by potentially unlocking multiple new high-grade copper-gold discoveries as the outlook for copper prices continues to strengthen."

The company reports meaningful progress with key community partnerships in the region and is advancing permitting and technical targeting across the broader Sombrero land position. The multi-target drill program planned for 2026-2027 remains subject to additional financing, but the enhanced geophysical data provides a stronger foundation for investment decisions and exploration prioritization.
