Related Incident in North Hamilton
In a separate but similarly tragic event, Hamilton Police recently charged a 29-year-old Burlington man following a pedestrian fatality in north Hamilton. The incident occurred on Monday evening when a 25-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the York Boulevard-Old Guelph Road area near the Burlington city limits.
Preliminary investigation suggests an altercation between two eastbound vehicles on York Boulevard led to both drivers pulling over. When one driver attempted to leave the area, the pedestrian was struck. The driver initially fled the scene but later contacted authorities.
The Burlington man faces charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and failure to stop after a collision causing death. Police continue to seek additional witnesses and dashcam footage related to this incident as well.
