Globe Theatre Show Leads Five Weekend Events in Regina

Globe Theatre continues its 60th anniversary celebrations with the local premiere of a critically acclaimed Canadian production. The satirical performance 'Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer' officially opens Friday night at MacCorquodale Place and runs until May 17.

After successful runs in Calgary, Victoria, Vancouver, and Ottawa, this show is set to captivate Regina audiences. 'It's going to make people laugh, it's going to spark conversations, and it's the right story for this moment,' says Globe artistic director Jennifer Brewin in a media release.

Written and directed by Governor General's Award-winning playwright Kevin Loring, the play is described by Louis B. Hobson of the Calgary Herald as '90 minutes of uninhibited, unapologetic, unbridled tomfoolery.' The story follows the last member of the Little Red Warrior First Nation who fights back when a condo development encroaches on his ancestral land, leading to a wild courtroom comedy filled with trickster mischief and unexpected romance.
