Brooklyn Beckham Sends Legal Notice to Parents, Bans Social Media Tags
Brooklyn Beckham Sends Legal Notice to Parents David and Victoria

The ongoing and very public family rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his world-famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, has taken a dramatic legal turn. According to reports from British media, including The Sun, the 26-year-old has formally sent a legal desist notice to his parents.

Legal Demands and Social Media Blackout

The legal notice, reportedly sent at the end of the summer of 2025, stipulates that all future communication must go through lawyers only. Furthermore, Brooklyn has explicitly warned David and Victoria against tagging him in any social media posts. This move formalizes a digital estrangement that began when Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram.

The initial online block occurred after Victoria Beckham "liked" a roast chicken video her son posted. The situation quickly escalated, with the Beckhams' youngest son, Cruz, 20, posting "They (my parents) woke up blocked... so did I." Brooklyn's wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 31, has also now blocked her in-laws, although other family members like grandparents remain unblocked.

Roots of the Family Feud

The origins of the tension are complex and reportedly span nearly four years. Some sources point to the relationship between Brooklyn's brother, Romeo, 23, and Brooklyn's ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, as an initial point of contention. However, the most significant rupture appears to have occurred in the lead-up to Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish 2022 wedding.

Nicola told Variety magazine that Victoria Beckham, a renowned fashion designer, had promised to design her wedding gown but later reneged. The bride ultimately wore a Valentino dress. Reports suggest both Brooklyn and Nicola were in tears on their wedding day, and relations have been strained ever since.

Notably, neither Brooklyn nor Nicola attended David Beckham's week-long 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025, a glaring omission that highlighted the depth of the divide. While there have been brief public appearances of support—such as Nicola attending a Victoria Beckham fashion show in Paris—the couple has reportedly not spoken to Victoria in 13 months.

Heartbreak and Confusion

A source close to the situation told The Sun that the legal letter was a last resort after private attempts to resolve issues failed. "The reality is that he issued them with a letter... asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately not publicly," the source said.

From David and Victoria's perspective, the source described them as "utterly bemused and devastated." The couple is said to have simply tried to keep the door open for reconciliation, feeling only concern for their eldest son. Despite the legal barriers and social media silence, they reportedly maintain hope for a future resolution to this heartbreaking family dispute.
