Jimmy Fallon took aim at the White House's troubled Great American State Fair during Wednesday night's episode of "The Tonight Show," mocking the event's controversies and key Trump administration figures.
The late-night host targeted the semiquincentennial celebration, which launched that evening in Washington, D.C., amid backlash that led to nearly all headline musical acts dropping out over associations with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
Fallon's Jokes About Food and Attractions
After ridiculing the performer exodus, Fallon turned to the fair's menu. "There's funnel cake, there's corn dogs, turkey legs, and lots of other foods found during Trump's colonoscopy," he quipped.
A Ferris wheel was erected on the National Mall for the event. Fallon continued: "Yeah, the fair has everything. There's even a dunk tank with JD Vance and a drunk tank with Kash Patel. So there's both," referencing reports of the FBI director's heavy drinking.
Rubio and Reflecting Pool Jabs
Setting his sights on Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Fallon said, "There's also a 110-foot Ferris wheel and an antique carousel. Unfortunately, Marco Rubio isn't tall enough to ride them."
Fallon then winked at the National Mall's troubled renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. "Yeah, the state fair will be a lot of fun. Although if you win a goldfish, I'm pretty sure I know where they got the water from …."
