Seth Meyers on Wednesday revealed how President Donald Trump "desperately wants to be king" through the ways he puts his "face and name on everything."
"His official store sells everything from... Trump pickleball paddles to Trump dog collars, which you can get in three sizes: poodle, Doberman and JD Vance," the "Late Night" host quipped.
Meyers tossed to news coverage of the State Department's recent decision to slap Trump's face on special edition U.S. passports for America's 250th birthday.
He aired a CNN clip in which host Abby Phillip highlighted how the passports join a "growing list of things named after Trump just this term."
The network aired a graphic noting that Trump has rolled out 10 "self-branded programs, initiatives and buildings" while in office. From Jimmy Carter onward, the rest of his predecessors slapped their names on nothing.
"It's the only measure by which Trump is doing better than his predecessors and we're only 15 months in," Meyers said.
Meyers said he finds it "hard to believe" that many "MAGA diehards" will head to the Washington, D.C., passport office, the only site where the documents will be issued to U.S. citizens who apply for them.
"I mean, there are other ways to tell a customs agent you're a Trump fan. For example, when they ask what the purpose of your visit is, you can say ..." began Meyers before launching into a Trump-like tangent. "'It's a good question and people have been talking about it more and more...'"
