Calgary is set to experience a brief stretch of warm weather before rain moves back into the region, according to a forecast by Gina Martin. Temperatures are expected to reach near 25°C over the next few days, providing a welcome respite for residents.
Warm Spell to Peak Midweek
The warmest day is anticipated on Wednesday, with highs climbing to around 26°C under mostly sunny skies. However, the pleasant conditions will be short-lived as a low-pressure system approaches from the Pacific.
“We’re looking at a beautiful couple of days, but don’t get too used to it,” said Martin. “The rain will be back by the end of the week.”
Rain Returns Thursday
By Thursday afternoon, clouds will increase, and showers are expected to develop by evening. The rain is forecast to persist into Friday, with accumulating precipitation of 10 to 15 millimetres possible.
Weekend outlook suggests a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of isolated showers, keeping temperatures near seasonal averages around 20°C.
Preparation Advice for Residents
Calgarians are advised to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts, but to keep umbrellas handy for the latter part of the week. The fluctuating pattern is typical for late June in southern Alberta, where spring transitions into summer often bring variable conditions.
