"I heard a boom and I could feel it and I got up and looked out the window and I could see the flames through the windows," Duck told local news outlets.
"I come running outside and within a minute the whole house was completely engulfed. There was no saving that house, it went up so fast," she added, emphasizing the rapid progression of the fire.
Duck noted that the family had moved into the home just months earlier and that she would often see the children playing outside, making the tragedy particularly heartbreaking for those who knew them.
