Putin's Porn Crackdown Targets OnlyFans Stars, Arrests in Russia
Putin Porn Crackdown: OnlyFans Stars Arrested in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has intensified a crackdown on the nation's pornography industry, with OnlyFans star Anastasia Ovsyannikova, 24, arrested on suspicion of illegal production and circulation of pornographic materials, according to the UK Sun. She faces up to six years in prison if convicted.

Arrests and Raids

Ovsyannikova, known by her stage name Nastya Kholod, was detained alongside her frequent collaborator Diana Shurygina, who was arrested earlier in June 2026 in Moscow. Police seized cameras, filming equipment, and other materials during a raid on Shurygina's apartment. Both women had transitioned from modeling to explicit content on OnlyFans.

German porn producer Ludwig Krichker, 30, was also arrested, with his residence searched and production equipment confiscated. The trio remain under house arrest, according to reports.

Wider Crackdown

BAZA, a media outlet linked to Russian security services, reported that a wave of checks on OnlyFans models and similar adult services is being prepared. Law enforcement is actively analyzing bloggers' pages for content aged 18+. Criminal cases for pornography production are rapidly gaining defendants.

In a separate case, a woman identified as Anastasia F. was detained in Yekaterinburg on similar charges after allegedly posting explicit content on OnlyFans for five years. Police seized a MacBook, iPhone, sex toys, and a bank card during a search of her apartment. She was tracked down after uploading content from Bali, South Africa, and the Maldives.

Legal and Political Context

While viewing pornography is legal in Russia, its production and distribution are strictly prohibited. Legal expert Dmitry Matyushenkov warned that operators, photographers, managers, or others involved in the work could be prosecuted as part of an organized group. The Moscow Times reported that criminal cases for OnlyFans porn have begun being launched in Russia.

Putin's government aims to enforce traditional values, a stance solidified after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Authorities and legal experts say the crackdown will spread and become more hardline, with fears that vague anti-porn laws are being selectively used to target activists and feminist groups.
