Grande Prairie RCMP are searching for a suspect after a gun was fired in a residential neighbourhood on Wednesday evening. Police responded to reports of a gunshot in the area of 100 Avenue and 102 Street around 7:30 p.m. Officers located evidence of a firearm discharge but found no injuries or property damage.
Investigation Underway
Investigators believe the incident was targeted and not random. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing who fled the scene on foot. Police have not released a detailed description of the suspect but are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
Public Assistance Sought
RCMP are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to contact them. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
