Man Seriously Injured in Duncan Stabbing

A 41-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after being stabbed in the Duncan area on Friday night. The incident occurred around 11 p.m., when officers from the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment were patrolling near a local London Drugs. They discovered the seriously injured man, who had apparently been stabbed.

The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and continues to receive treatment. As forensic identification officers and additional police joined the investigation, an 18-year-old woman was arrested near the location where the injured man was found. Police have stated that they believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no further risk to the public.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV or dashcam footage of the event to contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522.
