Windsor Police Seek Arson Suspect in Walkerville Fire

Windsor police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in connection with an April arson at a commercial business in Walkerville.

Shortly after 4 a.m. on April 3, 2026, officers responded to a report of a structural fire in the 1000 block of Wyandotte Street East. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services attended and extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported, but police say the fire caused extensive damage to the rear of the building.

Members of the Windsor Police Arson Unit determined that the fire had been intentionally set. Surveillance footage captured an unidentified suspect riding a bicycle to the rear of the business, where he poured an accelerant onto a wooden structure and set it on fire before leaving the area on the bicycle.

Investigators released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying him.
