Deadly Surrey house fire under police investigation

Surrey police are investigating a fatal house fire that claimed the life of a man early Monday morning, with authorities working to determine if the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious.

Firefighters Discover Body in Engulfed Home

Emergency crews were called to a residence in the 12700-block of 56th Avenue in the Panorama Ridge neighbourhood at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026. Upon arrival, Surrey Fire Services found the home fully engulfed in flames.

After firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and enter the structure to search for potential victims, they discovered the body of an adult male inside.
