Ottawa man urged paramedics to 'take revenge' on partner

An Ottawa man is facing charges after allegedly calling paramedics in western Quebec and urging them to 'take revenge on his partner,' according to police. The incident occurred on June 24, 2026, when the suspect phoned emergency services in the MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais region, claiming a false medical emergency to incite paramedics to harm his partner.

Police Investigation and Arrest

The MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais police service stated that the man, whose identity has not been released, made multiple calls to 911, instructing paramedics to 'take revenge' on the woman. Officers tracked the calls to an address in Ottawa and arrested the suspect without incident. He is charged with public mischief and uttering threats.

According to Constable Marie-Louise Beauchamp, the false reports endangered both the partner and first responders. 'This individual exploited emergency services to commit a violent act, wasting critical resources,' she said.
