Calgary police have charged a second man in connection with a fatal assault that occurred last month in the southeast community of Ogden. The suspect, Tethloach Wawu, 24, was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder and was located in Langley, British Columbia.
According to police, Wawu was arrested by RCMP officers after attempting to flee from them. He is now charged with one count of second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
This development follows the earlier charge against 22-year-old Wedial Buom Met, who was also charged with one count of second-degree murder in relation to the same incident.
Incident Details
Officers were called to a home in the 2300 block of Crestwood Road S.E. around 9 p.m. on March 25 following reports of a physical altercation in progress. Upon arrival, police located a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital but later died from his injuries.
The suspects had fled the scene before police arrived. Officers later executed search warrants in the 0 to 100 block of Citadel Estates Terrace N.W., which led to one man facing criminal charges.

Police believe the incident was domestic in nature and have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
