Three Suspects Face Charges After Violent Home Invasion in King Township

York Regional Police have formally charged three men in connection with a violent armed home invasion that took place in King Township back in 2024. The case gained attention after a good Samaritan was shot while attempting to assist the homeowners during the incident.

Details of the November 2024 Incident

According to police reports, officers responded to a shooting at a residence located near Paradise Valley Trail and Fairmont Ridge Trail in Nobleton on November 4, 2024, at approximately 6:23 p.m. The area is close to Highway 27 and King Road.

At the scene, authorities discovered a 39-year-old man who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a trauma center, where he received treatment for injuries that were fortunately determined to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators later determined that two armed males had forcibly entered the residence. When a good Samaritan intervened to help the homeowners, he was confronted by the intruders, who shot him before fleeing the property.
