Toronto Police are urgently requesting the public's help to identify a male suspect connected to a serious assault and theft incident that occurred on a Saturday evening. The event took place in the area of Gerrard Street East and Woodfield Road, prompting a police response at 4:43 p.m. on November 18, 2025.

Details of the Incident and Suspect Description

According to police reports, the incident began with a verbal argument between the suspect and victim. This confrontation quickly escalated when the suspect physically assaulted the victim and subsequently stole their cell phone. The suspect is now formally wanted for charges of assault and theft under $5,000.

Authorities have provided a detailed description of the individual they are seeking. The suspect is described as a man in his 40s, standing 6-foot-2 with a muscular build. He was observed to have dreadlocks and was wearing a toque, glasses, a red hoodie layered under a black jacket, and black pants at the time of the alleged crime.

Separate Firearms Charges Laid in West Toronto

In an unrelated investigation, Toronto Police have announced firearms charges against three individuals following a separate police action. On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant in the Rathburn Road and The East Mall area.

During this operation, police allege they located and seized a semi-automatic handgun, a loaded magazine containing several rounds of ammunition, and additional ammunition.

As a result, three people now face charges. Kodianne Anakons, 28, of Toronto, was charged with three firearm-related offences. Alana Mancini-Russell, 20, of Peterborough, and Neos Stoneypoint, 28, of Toronto, were each charged with two firearm-related offences.
