Toronto Police have issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a stabbing incident that occurred early Saturday morning in the Danforth Avenue and Carlaw Avenue area. Authorities responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. after reports indicated that a victim was approached by a male suspect, leading to a brief altercation and the victim being stabbed.
Details of the Danforth Stabbing Incident
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northbound along Carlaw Avenue. Police have released a detailed description of the individual, who is approximately 30 years old, stands 6 feet tall, and has a medium build. He was last seen with black hair tied in a top bun, a short black beard, and wearing a black winter jacket, black jeans, black sneakers, a black satchel, a grey scarf, and glasses.

Hamilton Break-Ins Lead to Arrest
In a separate development, Hamilton Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a series of residential break-ins on the city's east mountain. The arrest followed information received by police last week, which led officers to locate and apprehend the suspect without incident on Friday.
Jose De Guzman, 46, of Brampton, has been charged with two counts each of break and enter to commit theft and failing to comply with probation. At the time of his arrest, De Guzman was not previously known to Hamilton Police. Authorities have recovered property believed to be stolen and have released photographs in an effort to identify and return the items to their rightful owners.

Oakville Attempted Robbery Thwarted
Halton Police have charged four individuals following an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in Oakville. The incident occurred last Friday around 6 p.m. at the Oakville Place Mall, located at 240 Leighland Avenue. Four male suspects entered the mall wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves, prompting security to intervene. The suspects quickly left the premises without incident.
Officers responded and located the suspects on foot nearby, where they were found in possession of break-in instruments, including hammers, disguises, and a machete. Phoenix Cottle, 18, along with two 15-year-old males and a 14-year-old male, all from Toronto, have been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Additional charges include obstructing a peace officer and carrying a concealed weapon. No injuries were reported among security personnel or mall patrons.

Pickering Restaurant Assault Results in Charges
Durham Regional Police have charged a 35-year-old Toronto man after an alleged assault at a restaurant in Pickering. The incident took place early Saturday morning around 2:50 a.m. at Moxies Restaurant on Liverpool Road. Police responded to a fight call involving two males, during which one individual allegedly brandished a knife and swung it toward the victim while making threats toward employees.
Officers arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody, recovering a knife in his possession. The victim and employees did not suffer any physical injuries. Andrew Antoine Bonito has been charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of uttering threats. Authorities are seeking any cell phone, dash cam, or surveillance footage related to the incident and ask witnesses to contact Const.
