Toronto Police are urgently appealing to the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a sexual assault that occurred in the Parkdale neighborhood this week. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
Details of the Parkdale Sexual Assault
According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the Queen Street West and Fuller Avenue area shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday following a report of a sexual assault. The adult victim was reportedly walking on the sidewalk when an unknown individual approached and sexually assaulted them before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no physical injuries were sustained by the victim.
Investigators have released a detailed description of the suspect in hopes of generating leads. The individual is described as a male, approximately 40 years old, standing 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and blond facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was last seen wearing a grey or navy parka jacket featuring a fluorescent stripe across the top, grey pants, running shoes, and a dark-colored tuque.

Sixth Arrest in Grimsby Shooting Investigation
In a separate but equally serious development, Niagara Regional Police have announced a sixth arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred in Grimsby last September. The incident, which took place near the Grimsby and Stoney Creek border, left one male victim with serious injuries after he was found shot on South Service Road near Kelson Road North.
The victim was transported to a trauma center for treatment, with injuries initially deemed serious but not life-threatening. Following an extensive investigation, police executed several judicial authorizations in Hamilton, leading to the arrest of five individuals in October. Those arrested include Jawad Rabbani, 25, Shamaree Salmon, 31, Samantha McPhee, 27, Hannah Baillie, 28, and Shakem Keane-Dawes, 20, all from Hamilton. They collectively face a total of 78 firearm and drug-related charges.
Most recently, 27-year-old Bellaluddin Shahabuddin of Thorold was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, aggravated assault, careless use of a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Shahabuddin remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing in St. Catharines.

Hamilton Restaurant Incident Leads to Firearm Charges
In another incident highlighting ongoing concerns about firearm safety, Hamilton Police have arrested a 19-year-old man after a gun was reportedly spotted inside a fast-food restaurant on Centennial Parkway North. The incident unfolded on Thursday evening when officers responded to a call at approximately 9:15 p.m. regarding individuals believed to be in possession of a firearm.
According to police reports, the firearm became visible while the male was inside the restaurant, causing alarm among other diners. Upon arrival, officers located and safely detained two individuals matching the provided descriptions. During a safety search, police allegedly discovered a loaded Glock-style handgun with an extended magazine concealed in the man's waistband. The firearm contained 20 rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber.
The suspect, identified as Jesse Murie, was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited loaded firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with an undertaking. It was revealed that Murie was under a court-ordered undertaking at the time of his arrest, which prohibited him from possessing firearms, ammunition, or related devices.
The second individual detained during the investigation was released unconditionally. The seized firearm, magazine, and ammunition will undergo further forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
