A man from Ottawa has died after being pulled from the Gatineau River in Cantley, Quebec, according to the MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais police. The incident occurred on June 24, 2026, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Details of the Incident
Police received a call around 5:30 p.m. on Friday reporting a person in distress in the river near Chemin de la Rivière. Emergency responders, including firefighters and paramedics, arrived to find the man unconscious. He was pulled from the water but could not be revived.
