A Toronto man has been charged following an alleged unprovoked robbery that occurred earlier this month in the city's east end, according to police.

The robbery took place on June 21, 2026, in the east-end area of Toronto. Police responded to reports of an assault and theft, where the victim was attacked without provocation. The suspect allegedly stole property from the victim before fleeing the scene.
Arrest and charges
Toronto police located and arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. The accused, a Toronto man, has been charged with robbery and assault. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
“This was a random and unprovoked attack that left the victim shaken,” said police spokesperson Constable David Hopkinson in a statement. “We are grateful that no serious physical injuries were reported.”
