Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime has learned his opponent for the first round of Wimbledon, drawing Kazakhstan's Alexander Shevchenko. The match is scheduled to take place in early July at the All England Club.
Auger-Aliassime's Path
The 25-year-old from Montreal enters the tournament ranked 18th in the world. Shevchenko, 24, is ranked 62nd. The two have never faced each other on the ATP Tour. Auger-Aliassime reached the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2021 and 2023, his best results at the grass-court major.

Several other Canadians are also competing at Wimbledon. Denis Shapovalov, ranked 31st, will face American Sebastian Korda in the first round. Bianca Andreescu, ranked 42nd, takes on Czech Marie Bouzkova. Leylah Fernandez, ranked 25th, plays against Russian Veronika Kudermetova.
